Community Oriented Policing Service Team

In order to be responsive to the needs of the community, community policing activities are the main emphasis of the patrol division.  The Community Oriented Policing Services Team, generally referred to by the acronym "COPS", has been provided with specialized equipment to provide special services to their citizens.  Team members spend most of their time on bikes, SUV’s or on an ATV to establish one-on-one relationships with Pineville citizens.  The COPS team is also very involved in special monthly events.  Additionally, the COPS are responsible for the enforcement of code violations:  it has been well-documented that junk cars, abandoned buildings and warehouses are catalysts for criminal activity.  Email our Community policing team at:   cops@pinevillencpolice.com.
